Win a Trip to Old Colorado City
We’ve got great prizes for the lucky winner of our contest. Sit down for a spell and let us tell you about them.
Two Nights Stay at the Old Town Guesthouse B&B
Spend two nights relaxing in charming Old Colorado City. See that shiny new B&B, the Old Town Guesthouse? This elegant B&B has only been here since 1997, but it sits on the site of the old jail and fire station. They needed that jail back in the day since the south side of the street was the rowdy side, but these days the new building just houses guests. It’s a lot nicer than the old jail. You can bet it didn’t offer private balconies, waterbeds or hot tubs, like the Guesthouse does! And the breakfast wasn’t nearly as nice!
“Wonderful place, very friendly and very helpful. I can’t remember staying in a better B&B (and I used to run one).” – Gerry Davison, guest
Dine at Local Restaurants
Look down the street and you’ll notice how much easier it is to dine here than it used to be. In the old days, you had to dig a hole against the wind and build a campfire if you wanted a hot meal, but now we have fabulous restaurants, cafes and coffee shops. We still have saloons, too. You’ll love our coffee! There was a time when we were lucky to get a boiled coffee in a tin cup with the grounds in it, but now you can relax at a sidewalk café with a latte.
The contest winner will enjoy paid-for meals in our local eateries.
“Old Colorado City is the perfect spot for locals and out-of-town visitors alike. Boasting an eclectic selection of exceptional restaurants like Thunder & Buttons, Paravacinis, Cucuru and Jake & Telly’s along with unique galleries, boutiques and specialty shops.” – Molly Elizabeth Smith
Welcome Basket from Local Shops
You know what else we have now? Stores. Not just a general store with barrels of jerky and sacks of flour for miners to take into the mountains. Now, we have shops with locally made goods and gift shops and even art galleries. We never had art galleries before, even back in the heyday of the Waycott Opera House. You have to see this!
The owners of those shops all live around here and they’re so proud of the place that they’ll welcome the contest winners with a basket of goods.
“I just went to OCC today and I loved it! Of the stores I went into, the shopkeepers were very nice and welcoming. I am definitely planning on returning. I <3 small businesses!” – Beth Townsend
Time is ticking, submit your entry by August 31, 2017 for your chance to win this fabulous vacation package to Old Colorado City.
Throw Your Name in the Hat!
